Bobby Wagner is an American football player born in Los Angeles, California on June 27, 1990. He currently plays as a middle linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League. He played football in high school for the Titans at Colony High School in Ontario, California. While in high school he received all-CIF Central Division honors as well as all-Mount Baldy League accolades. He went on to play college football at Utah State University from 2008 to 2011 and as a senior was the WAC Defensive Player of the Year with 147 tackles, 4 sacks, and 2 interceptions. In 2012 he was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round, 47th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft. He was signed with the Seahawks in 2012 to a four-year contract for $4.30 million dollars with $2.51 guaranteed and a $1.57 million signing bonus. He made his professional football debut in the season opener against the Arizona Cardinals where he made four combined tackles. In 2015 he played in Super Bowl XLIX with the Seahawks. They lost to the New England Patriots 28-24. In 2015 he signed a four year contract extension for $43 million with $19.97 million guaranteed and an $8 million signing bonus.
