Chris Burkard is an American photographer, author, and social media influencer born in San Luis Obispo, California on March 12, 1986. Burkard is a self-taught photographer known for his photographs of landscape, surf, lifestyle, and outdoor travel. He has a following of over 3 million on Instagram and travels the world taking beautiful pictures for his followers. Chris has worked for some massive clients throughout his career including, Burton, Apple Inc, Nikon, Volcom, RVCA, and many others, he has also been featured in magazines and newspapers like Surfer Magazine, National Geographic, Water Magazine, The New Yorker. Burkard has published and been featured in many books, including The California Surf Project, The Boy Who Spoke To The Earth, High Tide, and more. He has been involved in several films like Under an Arctic Sky, The Cradle of Storms, that received an award for Best Short Film at the Florida Surf Film Festival, and several other films.
