Dick Van Dyke Bio
Dick Van Dyke, born Richard Wayne Van Dyke was born on December the 13th 1925 in Missouri and is an American comedian, actor, dancer, writer, producer and singer. With accolades such as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and five Emmys, a Tony Award and a Grammy Award, he is also recognised as a Disney Legend for his best known role in Mary Poppins, alongside Julie Andrews in which he portrays Bert.
After gaining recognition on Broadway he went on to have a long and successful career with the sitcom The Dick Van Dyke Show and films such as Bye Bye Birdie and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Most recently the actor has had roles in Night at the Museum and its two sequels and is set to star in Mary Poppins Returns, releasing in mid 2018.
