Flyleaf Bio

Flyleaf is an American heavy rock and post-grunge band from Bell County, Texas. Formed in 2000 by singer, songwriter and frontwoman Lacey Sturm and drummer James Culpepper. The two recruited guitarist Jared Hartmann and Sameer Bhattacharya and bassist Pat Seals. In 2005, the band released their self titled debut album ‘Flyleaf’ in 2002 under Octone Records. Upon it’s release, the band toured around the festival circuit in support of their album. Their single from their debut album, ‘I’m So Sick’ was used in the video game series Rock Band along with another single, ‘Tina’, which was featured on Guitar Hero 3. By 2009, Flyleaf released their sophomore album titled ‘Momento Mori’ followed by an EP titled ‘Remember to Live’ in 2010 of the band’s earliest songs. Their third album arrived in 2012 titled ‘New Horizons’ which was Sturm’s last album with the band. She was quickly replaced by Kristen May for their next EP release, ‘Who We Are, Between the Stars’ in 2014. After 4 years with the band, May departed from Flyleaf and the band has yet to release any new music.
