Albert Joseph, better known as Al B. Sure!, is an American singer, producer, and songwriter. He was born In Boston, Massachusetts, United States, on June 4, 1968. His music career began in 1987 when he was chosen by a legend in the entertainment industry, Quincy Jones, as the winner of the Sony Innovators Talent Search. He broke out onto the music the following year with his debut album In Effect Mode which peaked at number one on the US R&B Charts and number twenty on the US Music Charts. Singles from the album like Nite and day and Off on Your Own (Girl) also peaked at number one on the US R&B Singles Chart. Albert was part of the collective of black male singers called Black Men United who came together to speak about crime in black neighborhoods. He has won the Soul Train Music Award for Best New Artist and an American Music Award for Favorite Soul/R&B New Artist.
