Bamboo Mañalac Bio

Francisco Gaudencio Lope Belardo Mañalac, widely recognized as Bamboo Mañalac, is a prominent Filipino-American singer, songwriter, actor, and TV personality renowned for his versatility in pop, rock, jazz, and bluegrass music genres. He was born in Quezon City, Philippines, on March 21, 1976.

Bamboo rose to fame as the charismatic vocalist and original frontman of the acclaimed band Rivermaya before establishing his eponymous band, Bamboo. Following the band's dissolution in 2011, Bamboo Mañalac embarked on a successful solo career, releasing his debut solo album, "No Water, No Moon," which garnered widespread acclaim. The album featured hit singles such as "Truth," "Masaya," "Noypi," and "Much Has Been Said."

In addition to his music career, Bamboo Mañalac showcased his talent in the entertainment industry as an actor, starring in the films "BY Request" and "Istokwa." Bamboo's artistic brilliance and captivating stage presence made him a natural fit as a coach on the esteemed TV show "The Voice of the Philippines," where his mentoring prowess inspired and guided aspiring singers.
