Jimmy Buffett is an iconic country music star from Mississippi. Born on 25 December 1946, his songs “Margaritaville” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise” are timeless classics. After college, the singer moved to Nashville and was embraced by the musical community after his album “White Sport Coat and Pink Crustacean” got released in 1973. The album did well and peaked at 43 on the charts, but it wasn’t until 1977, when the multi-platinum selling album “Changes in Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes” got released, that he found worldwide fame. As a testament to his tremendous success, his songs and albums featured in Billboard’s Country charts, and the RIAA certified 9 of his records as multi-platinum. Jimmy Buffett still tours and, during his illustrious career, got nominated for the Grammy award twice.
