Kooze Bio
Kooze is a DJ and music producer born in Japan on August 23, 1996. He was originally known as The Koozebane Kid before shortening it to Kooze. His sound infuses 70s funk instrumentals with a modern twist. Kooze gained prominence for creating unexpected remixes and mashups of popular songs. He began his DJing career in 2016 for a Christian church, Hillsong Los Angeles.
Kooze created a TikTok mashup of Say So by Doja Cat and Dani California by Red Hot Chili Peppers. He performed with Kyle Dion at SOB's on Houston Street in NYC, before his headlining show at Elsewhere in Bushwick, Brooklyn. He performed at Lollapalooza on the Solana X Perry Stage, playing mashups like Oops I Did it Again by Britney Spears and Love Lockdown by Kanye West.
Kooze has performed at the Buena Vista Aquatic Recreational Area, White Oak Music Hall, HOB Dallas Cambridge Room, and Empire Control Room & Garage. He released his debut album, Love Comes to Koozebane, in 2020. The album included eight songs. His popular songs include Galley Oh Hoop Hoop, うるさい, and Get Get Gone.
