CHAI Bio
CHAI is a Japanese Rock Band formed in 2012 in Nagoya, Japan that combines the experimental pop, indie dance, and disco/punk genres. The female group includes Mana as the primary vocalist and keyboardist, Kana as the guitarist, Yuna on the drums, and Yuuki as the bassist. They wear pink as a signature and use psychological complexes as an inspiration for their music, including lyrics focused on women empowerment and redefining the meaning of “kawaii” or cute in Japanese.
The band released their first EP in 2015 called “Hottaraka Series”, followed by EP “Homegoro Series” in 2017. That same year they released their debut studio album called “Pink”, and in 2018 appeared their current last EP “Wagama-mania”. CHAI’s second studio album “Punk” was released in 2019, and in 2021 they released their latest creation album “Wink”, including the song “Donuts Mind If I Do”, gaining more than 1,7 million reproductions on Spotify.
