Marvin Scandrick, popularly known as Slim, is a hip-hop musician born in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He began singing in 1991 and is associated with Asylum Records, Shanachie Records, and Bad Boy Entertainment. He is best known for being the lead singer/frontman for group 112.
He started his solo career in 2005 and released his debut single, So Fly, featuring Yung Joc and Shawty Lo in 2008. The song reached number 49 on the Billboard Hot 100. The same year, he released his debut album Love’s Crazy, featuring Fabolous and Big Boy. It peaked at number 32 on the Billboard 200 and included the hit single Good Lovin, which reached number 39 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
Slim released the mixtape Cruisin' Da City Vol. 1 Presented by DJ Lyte and DJ Lucky Calhoun, and it was received well by listeners. He is the CEO of M3 Productions. He signed to the independent Shanachie label and released a second solo album, Refueled, in 2016.
