Sturgill Simpson Bio
Born on June 8, 1978, in Jackson, Kentucky, United States, John Sturgill Simpson is an award-winning American country music singer, songwriter, and actor revered as a refreshing new voice to the traditional country scene. Simpson has released four albums some of which featured in US top charts. While his first album High Top Mountain positioned him as a highly talented country artist, his second album Metamodern Sounds in Country Music earned him a Grammy nomination in 2014. Simpson was crowned with the Grammy Award for his third album A Sailor's Guide to Earth released in 2016. He has also appeared in a few films and television series.
