Joseph Anthony Musgrove, known as Joe Musgrove, is a professional baseball player born on December 4, 1992, in El Cajon, California, USA. He pitched and played first base for Grossmont High School. The Toronto Blue Jays selected him in the second round of the 2011 MLB Draft.
His professional career began playing for the Blue Jays' rookie affiliate team, the GCL Blue Jays. Joe was the 2015 Astros Minor League Pitcher of the Year. He made his MLB debut for the Houston Astros on August 2, 2016. He was the starting pitcher for the US Team in the 2016 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game in San Diego.
Joe was part of the team that won the World Series Championship for the Houston Astros in 2017. The San Diego Padres acquired him through trade in January 2021. He pitched his first no-hitter on April 9, 2021, becoming the sixth pitcher to toss a no-hitter for a team from the state he was born.
