Rita Rudner Bio
Rita Rudner was born on the 17th of September 1953 in Florida and is an American writer, comedian and actress. A talent that came in waves, she began as a professional dancer in 1968 and switched to comedy in the 1980’s after noticing the lack of female comedians in new York City and has since flourished in the genre for over thirty years.
With numerous appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and is well known for having created several award winning comedy specials, the best known are HBO’s Rita Rudner: Born to Be Mild and Rita Rudner: Married Without Children. A successful author, the actress now performs stand up exclusively in Las Vegas, and has the longest running solo show in Las Vegas history.
