Anupam Kher Bio
Anupam Kher is an Indian Bollywood actor. He was born in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, in 1955 and started his acting career as a Bollywood actor in 1982. He took part in hit Indian productions like “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Veer Zaara”, and “Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge”, earning 8 consecutive national Filmfare awards. As an international film actor, he has appeared in the Academy-awarded “Silver Linings Playbook” opposite Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. For this role, he was nominated for various American prizes. In 2001 he became the chairperson of the Indian Movie Censor Board, and other public office positions he has taken include the direction of the National School of Drama. In 2005 the actor started “Actor Prepares”, an acting academy. Kher’s TV appearances include “Sawaal 10 Crore Ka”.
