Gretel Bio
Gretel Hänlyn, real name Maddy Haenlein, is a singer and songwriter from West London. Growing up, Gretel had a passion for music, and by age 11, he had started writing her songs. As she grew older, she started falling in love with folk and gothic music. She also cites inspiration from live bands like Wolf Alice, Nirvana, and Nick Drake. Today, she releases music that blends goth-pop, indie ballads, and grunge.
She released her first single, titled “Slugeye” in September of 2021. This was followed by her debut EP “Slugeye” in May 2022. His sophomore EP “Head of the Love Club” was released in March 2023. The EP contained 15 tracks. The most recent single she has released is “War with America”. She has sold out many headline shows in the United Kingdom and played in Paris, London, and other places.
