Roberto Firmino is a Brazilian professional footballer born in Maceio, Brazil on October 2, 1991. He is currently an attacking midfielder, forward, or winger for the Premier League club Liverpool and the Brazil national team. As a youth player he played on the team CRB from 2004 to 2008 and Figueirense from 2008 to 2009. He made his professional debut playing with Figueirense on October 24, 2009 against Ponte Preta. In 2010 he signed with the team Hoffenheim and played with the them until 2015. He was transferred to the Premier League club Liverpool in 2015. He played his debut game with Liverpool in a friendly game against Swindon Town on August 2, 2015. Firmino started playing with the Brazil national team in 2014. He made his debut with the national team in a friendly match against Turkey and Austria. In 2015 he played with the team in the 2015 Copa America and the 2019 Copa America. In 2018 he played in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
