Luke James Boyd, better known as Luke James, born on June 13, 1984, in New Orleans, Louisiana, is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He attended the St. Augustine High School, where he joined a trio with Quinten Spears, better known as Q, and Tah before splitting up after they graduated from high school. Soon, Luke James and Q formed a duo called Luke & Q. However, the duo split and each of them perused a solo career. Luke James has written songs for major artists such as Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, and others. In 2011, he released his debut EP called #Luke and three years later he released his first self-titled album. His single I Want You earned him a Best R&B Performance nomination at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.
