Lisa Lisa is a musical artist born on 15th January 1967 in New York City, United States. She is widely known for being a member of the band Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam. They released their first single “I Wonder If I Take You Home” immediately after forming in 1985. They later signed with the Columbia Record and re-released the single, which made it to the R&B top 20 in the UK and top ten in the U.S. They released several hit songs in the 1980s.
However, in the late 80s, the band’s success started declining. They released their fourth and last album “Straight Outta Hell’s Kitchen”, but it was not a success. The group was finally dissolved in 1991. Lisa pursued her solo career. In 1994, she released her first solo album “LL77”. The album contained the single “Skip to My Lu”, which reached number 38 on the R&B chart. In 2019, she released a new studio album “Life ‘n Love”.
