Squeeze is a band from London, UK. The band was formed in 1974 and its members include lead guitarist Glenn Tilbrook, rhythm guitarist/vocalist Chris Difford, keyboardist/backing vocalist Stephen Large, drummer/percussionist Steve Smith, lap steel guitarist Melvin Duffy, and backing vocalist/bassist Owen Biddle. They released their debut self-titled album in 1978. Their second studio album “Cool for Cats” arrived the following year. The album contained the singles “Up The Junction” and “Cool For Cat”, which became the highest-charting UK singles.
The band’s third studio album “Argybarygy”, which was released in 1980 was also a hit. Some members left the band, while others joined over the years that followed. In 1981, they released a new studio album, titled “East Side Story”. Other albums released by the band include “Sweets from a Stranger”, “Cosi Fan Tutti Frutti”, “Babylon and On”, and others.
