Doug Savant Bio

Doug Savant is an actor born on 21st June 1964 in Burbank, California, United States. He is best known for playing Matt Fielding in the soap opera “Melrose Place” from 1992 to 1997. Savant started his career in 1984 with the romantic drama war film “Swing Shift”. The following year, he played Boy in the film “Secret Admirer” and Brad in the comedy film “Teen Wolf”. In 1986, he portrayed Tim Hainey in the horror film “Trick or Treat”. He went on to star in supporting and leading roles in various films.

Savant made his television debut in 1985, playing the role of Dwayne Patterson in an episode of the police procedural drama television series “Cagney & Lacey”. In 1986, he starred in an episode of the soap opera “Hotel” as Elliot Jessup. That same year, he appeared in the anthology series “Alfred Hitchcock Presents”. His other notable appearances include “The Facts of Life” in 1987, “Jake and the Fatman” in 1990, “Burke’s Law” in 1995, “First Daughter” in 1999, “The District” in 2001, “Hot in Cleveland” in 2012, and others.
