Terence Crawford’s birthplace is Omaha, Nebraska. He was born on September 28, 1987. As an amateur boxer, he won three championship titles. He joined the 2008 Summer Olympics, and among the lightweight fighters from the US, he had the highest ranking.
In 2014, he won the WBO lightweight world title. He also succeeded in defending his title. In the same year, he received the 2014 Fighter of the Year award from the Boxing Writers Association of America. In 2015, he moved to a higher weight division and succeeded in bagging the WBO junior welterweight world title. He also won the WBC title in the same category.
He unified four world titles in 2017 and decided to vacate them to move up to the welterweight division. He received the Fighter of the Year award from ESPY in 2018.
