Ian Brown is a British rock singer celebrated for his role as the frontman for the influential band The Stone Roses. Brown was born near Manchester in 1963, and spent the better part of the 1980s and 1990s with The Stone Roses before debuting as a solo artist with 1998’s “Unfinished Monkey Business”. Two years later, his second effort “Golden Greats” went out in the US and the UK, followed shortly after by “Music of the Spheres”. In 2003 Brown made a cameo in the film “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.” A few years later “The World is Yours” was issued, and had Steve Jones, Paul Cook, and Paul Ryder as guest musicians. After one more studio album in 2009, the artist took a break and returned with 2019’s “Ripples”.
