Justin Jacob Long is an award-winning American actor, comedian, writer, and producer best known for his work in film and television. He was born in Fairfield, Connecticut, United States, on June 2, 1978. Justin began his acting career in 1999 when he appeared in the adventure film Galaxy Quest. He continued to appear in many productions after, but he became a household name in 2007 when he starred in the action-thriller film Live Free or Die Hard alongside Bruce Willis, Timothy Olyphant, Maggie Q, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Justin has been a regular on the TV series F Is for Family, Giri/Haji, Skylanders Academy, Unsupervised, and New Girl. His filmography includes Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, The Break-Up, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, and Galaxy Quest. He won a US Comedy Arts Festival Award for Best Actor, a Fright Meter Award for Best Actor, and an iHorror Award for Best Male Horror Performance.
