Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers Bio
Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers is an Australian four-piece band formed in Canberra in 2015. The band consists of frontman Anna Ryan, guitarist Scarlett McKahey, bass guitarist Jaida Stephenson, and drummer Neve van Boxsel. They gained recognition in 2019 for their teen image and garage punk sound, playing as a support for Australian bands like Polish Club and Press Club, and solo musicians like Alex Lahey. Their debut EP, Pretty Good for a Girl Band, came out in 2022. They released their debut studio album, I Love You, on October 6, 2023, on Domestic La La. The album received critical acclaim and reached number six on the ARIA Albums Chart.
Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers have performed at festivals like Bigsound, Groovin' the Moo, and Sydney's Laneway Festival.
