Shannyn Sossamon is an actress from Hawaii, United States. She is widely recognized for a wide range of films, including “A Knight’s Tale” in 2001, “The Order” in 2003, “The Holiday” in 2006, and others. Before becoming an actress, Sossamon worked as a DJ. Although she was pursuing a career in dance, she had no intention of becoming a professional dancer. She started her career as a model and later appeared in two TV commercials for global clothing and accessories retail GAP. In 1997, she made guest appearances in three episodes of the comedy series “Mr. Show with Bob and David”.
In 2010, she played a recurring role in the comedy-drama television series “How to make it in America”. She also featured in the short film “The Cyclist,” which premiered in January 2012. In the same year, she appeared in an indie romantic drama film, “The End of Love,” as Lydia. In June 2013, she played Alex in the drama soap opera series “Mistresses”.
