Director and journalist Louis Theroux was born on the 20th of May 1970 in Singapore. Louis’ father is the famous travel and fiction writer Paul Theroux. His brother, Marcel Theroux, is a writer as well. When Louis finished university at Oxford, he obtained 1st class Honours in Modern History.
Louis became famous for his documentaries When Louis Met….This documentary won the BAFTA Award in 2002. Three years later, Louis published a book titled The Call of the Weird: Travels in American Subcultures. In 2015, Louis wrote and produced the documentary My Scientology Movie.
