Kevin Garnett Bio
Kevin Garnett, born Kevin Maurice Garnett on May 19, 1976 in Mauldin, South Carolina, is a professional basketball player. In 1995, he led his high school team to a city championship with the help of his incredible statistics. Stunned by his performance, various organizations have dubbed him as the Player of the Year for that year. He was then selected for the McDonald’s All-American Basketball and he ended up being chosen as it Most Valuable Player. That year, declared himself eligible for the NBA Draft and he was immediately selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves. It made him the first person to be drafted directly after high school after 20 years. Garnett’s presence was immediately felt in the league, and by his second season, he was already named for his first All-Star game. After the 2006-2007 season, however, he was traded by the Timberwolves for a record seven players to Boston Celtics. In his first season with the Celtics, the team was able to get to the finals. In 2013, he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, and his production declined, and in 2015-2016 season, he reached his all-time low. He retired in 2016, joining the players with most career points at rank 17.
