Kristen Joy Schaal is an American actress, voice actress, comedian, and writer best known for her work in television and film. She was born in Longmont, Colorado, United States, on January 24, 1978. Kristen began her comedy career in the early 2000s, and she became famous for her live comedy sketches at comedy festivals. Some of the comedy awards Kristen won include Best Alternative Comedian at the US Comedy Arts Festival, the Andy Kaufman Award at the New York Comedy Festival, and Best Female Stand Up Comedian at the 2007 ECNY Awards. As an actress and voice actress, Kristen has been a regular on the TV series Bob's Burgers, What We Do in the Shadows, BoJack Horseman, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Gravity Falls, Squinters, The Last Man on Earth, Death Hacks, and The Hotwives of Orlando. Her filmography includes the blockbusters Toy Story 4, Despicable Me 2, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, and Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. Kristen won a Behind the Voice Actors Award for Best Female Lead Vocal Performance in a Television Series - Comedy/Musical and an Annie Award for Outstanding Achievement in Voice Acting in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production.
