Matt Wertz is an American singer and songwriter born in Liberty, Missouri on February 17, 1979. While in college he started getting more into music and in his freshman year started writing songs. After graduating from college, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee and would perform at Young Life Camps. In 2001 he released his debut studio album titled Somedays and has since released the albums Twentythree Places, Everything in Between, Under Summer Sun, Weights & Wings, Heatwave, and Gun Shy. He released his debut EP in 2002 titled Orange EP and has also released the EPs Today & Tomorrow EP, Where We Started EP, While We’re Becoming EP, Snow Globe, Whenever/Wherever EP, and Old Flames. He has also released two live albums. Wertz has toured with the artists and bands, Jon McLaughlin, Gavin Degraw, Matt Nathanson, Ben Rector, Jars of Clay, Jamie Cullum and others.
