Anita Wilson Bio
St. Louis native Anita Wilson has achieved critical acclaim as a talented gospel singer, whose passion and skill in music began when she was just a young girl. Having drawn influence from the greats such as Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin, she solidified her personal style and went on to become a background singer for various gospel artists such as Marvin Sapp, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, and DeWayne Woods. In 2009, she was allowed a solo on the album The Law of Confession by Donald Lawrence & Co., and the track – which was titled “Happy Being Me” – allowed her to rise to fame. In 2012, she released her debut album entitled Worship Soul, which was preceded by the smash hit “Speechless”.
