Malcolm McDowell is an English actor, born on June 13, 1943, in Horsforth, United Kingdom. He is best known for the roles in Tinto Brass's Caligula, A Clockwork Orange, If…, O Lucky Man, and Britannia Hospital. He studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and appeared in many roles in Britain before moving to the States in the late 70s. His first American film was Time After Time in 1979. The English actor has also done moderate work on television, appearing in Star Trek: Generations; Entourage, and Pearl opposite Rhea Perlman. He also starred in Heroes, CSI: Miami, The Mentalist, and Amazon`s popular series Mozart in the Jungle starring Gael Garcia Bernal. The show won two Golden Globes. McDowell is the father of film director Charlie McDowell.
