Liam Lynch Bio

Liam Lynch is an American filmmaker, musician, and puppeteer born in Petersburg, Virginia on September 5, 1970. In 1996 he was accepted into the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. While attending LIPA he came up with the idea for the show the Sifl and Olly Show with Matt Crocco. The show was picked up by MTV and premiered in 1998. In 1995 Lynch released his debut studio album Eel and has since released the albums We’re All Nighters, Fake Songs, How to Be a Satellite, Songs from Lynchland, More Songs from Lynchland, Get Up On the Raft, The Middle, New Springs, and The Whole Damn Thing. Lynch has directed music videos for bands and artists like Tenacious D, Foo Fighters, No Doubt, Sarah Silverman, Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age and more. In 2005 he directed the film Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic and in 2006 directed the film Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny. He also hosts a podcast named LynchLand where he features guests, songs from his albums, and video animations.
