Martin Henderson is a New Zealand actor born in Auckland, New Zealand on October 8, 1974. He is best known for his roles in the television series Off The Map, Grey’s Anatomy and for his role in the movie The Ring. In his country of New Zealand he is known for his role as Stuart Neilson in the soap opera Shortland Street. Martin started his career in television in 1992 on the soap opera Shortland Street in New Zealand and played roles on several television series there until he moved to the United States. He landed his first role in Los Angeles in the film Windtalkers in 2001 and has since landed roles in The Ring, Little Fish, Smokin’ Aces, Cedar Boys, Battle in Seattle, and more. In 2009 he got a role in the popular television series House, it was his first role in American television. He has also been in the American television series Rake Off The Map, The Red Road, Secret & Lies, and Grey’s Anatomy. Henderson has been nominated for several awards during his career, including three AFI Awards, an FCCA Award, and a AACTA Award.
