Tobey Maguire is an American actor and film producer. He was born Tobias Vincent Maguire on the 27th of June, 1975. He made his movie debut in 1989, in the film “The Wizard”. During the 1990’s he acted in several TV roles in movies such as “This Boy’s Life” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” starring Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro, and “Ride with the Devil” among many others. In 2002, he got a major breakthrough in the industry, when he landed the titular role of “Spiderman”. The movie was a huge hit, and he replicated the role in the Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007). All three films went on to be on the top highest-grossing movies each year. In 2002, Maguire also produced his first movie, “25th Hour” directed by Spike Lee, and starring Edward Norton. Maguire has been nominated for the Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe Awards, as well as the 2010 Golden Globe Awards as Best Actor in a Motion Picture. He has won at the 2011 CinEuphoria Awards in the category Best Actor. In 2012, Maguire established his own production company called Material Pictures.
