Erin Jackson is a speed skater born on September 19, 1992, in Ocala, Florida, USA. She started inline skating in 2002, roller derby in 2012, and long-track speedskating in 2017). Erin is part of the US National Team for all three sports. She has a bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida.
Erin was the United States Olympic Committee Female of the Year for Roller Sports (2012, 2013, and 2015). She won a silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games. Erin competed in inline speed skating at the 2017 World Games in Wroclaw, Poland. The following year, she participated in the 500 meters long track speed skating event at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
Erin became the first Black American woman to win the World Cup after winning her first 500 meters Speedskating World Cup races in Poland in November 2021. She became the first Black American woman to win a gold medal in speed skating after winning the Women's 500m speed skating at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
