Trouble is an American metal band formed in 1979, in Aurora, Illinois. They are known as a pioneering band in the classic doom metal scene. The band was initially composed of vocalist Eric Wagner, guitarist Bruce Franklin and Rick Wartell, and drummer Jeff Olson. They released their eponymous debut in 1984 under Metal Blade. The band's first two albums, Psalm 9 and The Skull are considered landmarks of doom metal.
Other band members included Kory Clarke, Sean McAllister, Dennis Lesh, Ron Holzner, Barry Stern, Ted Kirkpatrick, Ian Brown, Chuck Robinson, and Shane Pasqualla. In July 2013, Trouble released their eighth album, The Distortion Field, featuring new singer Kyle Thomas. The album was included in CMJ's Top 50 Rock Albums of the Year and reached number 125 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums Chart.
