Steve McQueen was born on October 9, 1969 in London, England. He attended the prestigious Chelsea School of Art in London in the late 1980’s. Beginning in the 1990’s, he has worked on dozens of films throughout his career, starting with short films that he continued to work on up until the mid-2000’s. One of his most notable feature length films, 12 Years A Slave (2013), received plenty of critic praise. It became the Oscar-winner for Best Motion Picture of The Year. He has been nominated for a total of 86 awards during his career. He is also known for working on Hunger (2008) and Shame (2011). McQueen is currently working on two projects, Windows (2018) and Untitled Tupac Shakur Documentary (2018), in the upcoming year.
