Wendell Carter Jr. Bio

Wendell Andre Carter Jr. is a young prodigy, he was born on April 16, 1999, in Fairburn, Georgia, United States. This young athlete proved he was meant for glory at an early age by earning accolades left right and center. He attended Pace Academy, where he led the Knights to a Georgia 6AA regional title. Carter has the distinction of being the Georgia Region 6 AA Player of the Year. Carter’s immense talent earned him a spot representing the US team in the 2016 FIBA Under-17 World Championship. He played for Duke during his college days from 2017 to 2018. Carter was named part of the ACC-All Freshman teams and Second team All-ACC. He got drafted into the NBA in 2018 by the Chicago Bulls. He was the 7th pick overall and still plays for the Chicago Bulls. In October of the same year, Carter Jr. made his NBA debut, against the Philadelphia 76ers, scoring 8 points and recording three rebounds, three assists and a block. Later on, the same month, he played against the Denver Nuggets, scoring a season high 25 points, with eight rebounds, five assists, three blocks and three steals. On the 24th March of 2019, Carter Jr. was ruled out of the NBA season due to a surgery.
