The Association is an American pop sunshine band that began playing together during the mid 1960s. The original lineup consisted of Alexander Gary, Brian Cole, Russ Giguere, Ted Bluechel Jr., and Bob Page. However, the line-up of the band has changed several times, with members like Mike Berkowitz, Jerry Yester and many others. The band had a big breakthrough during the late 1960s, with hits like “Cherish”, “Along Comes Mary”, and “Windy”. Their debut album “And Then…Along Comes the Association” was produced by Curt Boettcher and released in 1966. They followed up with their second album “Renaissance”, released in 1966, which included the single “Pandora’s Golden Heebie Jeebies” which was a hit, reaching number 35 on the Billboard Chart. Overall, the band has released over 15 albums during their more than 30 years of career. In 2018, the first unofficial biography of the band “ The Association Cherish” written by Malcolm C. Searles was published.
