Gian Marco Javier Zignago Alcóver is a Peruvian singer-songwriter, born on August 17, 1970, in Lima. He is the son of actress and singer Regina Alcóver Ureta, and the late Peruvian composer and singer Joe Danova. Due to his music environment, he was introduced to music very early. He released his first Album A Tiempo in December 2001 and was nominated for best album at the Latin Grammy Award. Even though he did not win that year, he managed to win the Latin Grammy award for the Best Singer-Songwriter Album three times, in 2005, 2011, and 2012 for best singer-songwriter album. First in 2005 for his album Resucitar, second in 2011 for his album Días Nuevos, and 2012 for his album 20 Años. He has worked with Emilio Estefan, Jr. as a songwriter for some of the songs on Miami Sound Machine. Gian Marco was named UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in Peru.
