Devon Terrell Currie was born October 23, 1992 in Long Beach, California, US, and is an Australian-American actor. Devon is most known for his 2016 role as a young Barack Obama in Barry. When he was five, he moved to Perth, Australia, and went to Edith Cowan University to study drama education. His first role was that of Steve McQueen for an HBO series called Codes of Conduct that was canceled after the pilot. He had always wanted to play Obama feeling connected due to being of mixed race. It was his dream role and he was offered the part after just one audition. To prepare, he worked with a dialect coach and watched Obama talk to master his accent and way of speaking. Two other films of his are Richard Says Goodbye (2018) and Ophelia (2018).
