The Sweet is a rock band from London, England formed in 1968. The original members of the group were Brian Connolly, Steve Priest, Andy Scott, and Mick Tucker. The band was originally called as the Sweetshop. They made their debut on the same year as their formation. Their debut single “Slow Motion.” The next year, they released another single “Lollipop Man” followed by “All You’ll Ever Get from Me” in 1970. The group debuted on television on the same year and their song “Funny Funny” was issued by RCA. This hit made it to the charts in several countries. Another song that became a big hit is “Little Willy.”
The group released their debut album Funny How Sweet Co-Co Can Be in 1971. Other albums by the group include Desolation Boulevard, Off the Record, Cut Above the Rest, and Identity Crisis.
