The Blizzards Bio

The Blizzards is a musical group from Mullingar, Ireland. The band was formed in 2003 and consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Niall Breslin, lead guitarist Justin Ryan, drummer Dec Murphy, bassist Anthony Doran, and keyboardist/acoustic guitarist Aidan Lynch. The band released their first album, titled “First Girl to Leave Town,” made it to the Irish Singles Chart in 2005. In the same year, they performed at the Oxegon 2005. In 2006, they signed with Universal Music Ireland and released their second single, “Trouble,” which ranked #6 in the Irish Singles Charts in 2006.

The Blizzards released their second album in 2008. One of the singles in the album entitled “Trust Me, I’m A Doctor,” along with other new and old tracks, was performed at the main stage of Oxegen 2008. In 2010, Niall Breslin moved to London to pursue a career as a music producer, and the remaining members formed a cover band called “House Party.” The band returned from a break in 2016 with the release of a new single, “Drop Down The Anchor.”
