Rise Against Bio
Rise Against is a band formed in 1999 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The group members are Brandon Barnes, Joe Principe, Tim McIlrath, and Zach Blair. Pop and rock are their musical specialties, and their style is alternative/indie rock, punk revival, and post-hardcore. Rise Against are known for their punk and melodic hardcore style, and their straight edge beliefs. In 2009, they won the Best Animal-Friendly Band Award by PETA. In 2007, they endorsed a line of Vans shoes that were animal cruelty-free. Some of their song highlights are “Savior”, “The Violence”, “I Don't Want to Be Here Anymore”, “Help Is on the Way”, “Re-Education (Through Labor)”, “Heaven Knows”, and many more. In the movies, they are known for their work on “Punisher: War Zone”, “Orphan”, “Never Back Down”, “Lords of Dogtown”, etc. The band has 2 MTV Music Video (VMA) Award Nominations for Best Video with a Message.
