Stephen Gaghan is an American screenwriter and director, who was born on May 6th, 1965, in Louisville, KY, USA. He expressed that despite the fact that he was a standout soccer player in high school, he had spent a significant portion of his youth addicted to alcohol and various drugs. Stephen is best known for writing the screenplay for the film “Traffic,” which was directed by Steven Soderbergh, and further adapted to a series that aired on Channel 4. He was awarded the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for his work. In addition, he wrote and directed the film “Syriana,” for which he received acclaim from critics. Moreover, the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor went to George Clooney, who was recognised for his work in Stephen’s film “Syriana.”
