Retro-soul sounds, mix them with horns and the performance of an energetic lead singer, and we’re talking about St. Paul & The Broken Bones, formed in 2012 in Birmingham, U.S. “Greetings from St. Paul and the Broken Bones” was the self-released EP that made Janeway, Browan Lollar, Jesse Phillips, Andrew Lee, Allen Branstetter, and Ben Griner get a record deal with Single Lock Records. With the help of Single Lock Records, St. Paul & The Broken Bones came out with “Half the City”, their full-length debut. They achieved success when “Half the City” reached number 56 on the Billboard 200. Later, the group expanded to an octet with Jason Mingledorff on woodwinds, Al Gamble on keys, and Chad Fisher replacing Griner on trombone, releasing “Sea of Noise” under Barry Weiss' new label, “Records”. Recently, without losing the '60s and '70s vibes, St. Paul & The Broken Bones came out with their third studio album, “Young Sick Camellia”.
