Passion Pit Bio
Passion Pit is an American electronic music band formed in 2007, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The band is composed of Michael Angelakos as the lead vocalist and keyboardist, Ian Hultquist at the guitar and synths, Ayad Al Adhamy at the synths, Tom Plasse as the bassist, and Adam Levinsky at the drums. Their debut album was released in 2009 and called “Manners”. In 2012, they released their second studio album “Gossamer”. The album reached number 4 on US Billboard 200. Three years later, the band released “Kindred”, their third studio album, released through Columbia Records. The album featured electropop sounds and tracks such as “Lifted Up (1985)” and “Whole Life Story” written by Angelakos and Benjamin Levin. They have toured across the U.S. performing at major venues and important music festivals such as the Coastline Festival, in Florida, as well as touring in other countries like Canada and Japan.
