Weezer Bio
Weezer is an American alternative pop-rock band formed in 1993 in Los Angeles, California, and consists of frontman Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Scott Shriner, and Brian Bell. In total, the band has sold over nine million records and has released a total of 12 long-playing albums, a cover album, a DVD, and six EPs. In 1994 the band made waves with singles “Undone (The Sweater Song)” and “Buddy Holly” and “Say It Ain’t So”, all hailing from their self-titled debut, a platinum-certified success. Critically acclaimed sophomore effort Pinkerton saw very little commercial success. Another self-titled chart-topper came soon in 2001, produced by Ric Ocasek, it rendered music videos and radio singles “Hash Pipe” and “Island In the Sun”. By the time the 2010s came to a close, the band had cemented their success and made reissues of the first records. In 2018 they made cover songs of classic rock band Toto.
