Cage the Elephant is a Grammy-winning American rock band who are currently based in London, England. The band consists of Matt Shultz, Brad Shultz, Lincoln Parish, Daniel Tichenor and Jared Champion. The band showcased their talent at the 2007 South by Southwest Music Festival and were instantly signed to Relentless Records. They released their debut album, ‘Cage The Elephant’ in 2008 in the UK and was released in 2009 in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Japan. Their single off the album, ‘Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked’, became a hit success that peaked at number 32 on the UK Singles Chart and now currently has 308 million plays on Spotify. Cage The Elephant toured with the Pigeon Detectives shortly after the release of their debut album, becoming increasingly popular around the UK and the U.S. In 2011, the band released their second album, ‘Thank You Happy Birthday’ which hit number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. This was followed by their third album, ‘Melophobia’ in 2013 which moved to a more modern rock album. Their third album contained their next big hit, ‘Come A Little Closer’ which now has 124 million plays on Spotify. In 2015, the band released ‘Tell Me I’m Pretty’ with production help from Dan Auerbach from The Black Keys. ‘Tell Me I’m Pretty’ won a Grammy in 2017 for the Best Rock Album, securing the band’s place in the rock industry. Cage the Elephant did not release music until 2019 with their album ‘Social Cues’ which also won a Grammy for the Best Rock Album in 2019.
