Broken Bells Bio
Broken Bells is an American indie rock duo formed in 2008 as an alternate project of James Mercer (vocalist and guitarist from The Shins) and producer Brian Burton, also known as Danger Mouse. Their eponymous debut came out in 2010 and peaked at #7 in Billboard’s 200 Albums chart; it was also nominated for Best Alternative Album at the 2011 Grammy Awards. Later that same year, the duo released the “Meyrin Fields” EP, followed by the single “It's That Talk Again” in 2015. Broken Bells then took some time off to focus on their main projects, and in 2014 they came back with “After the Disco”, a full-length album. Two more single releases ensued in 2018 and 2019, respectively: “Good Luck” and “Shelter”.
